Brickwork & Repointing Quote Calculator

This is a live, working example of the instant-quote tools we build for bricklayers. Try it exactly as a homeowner would: say what brickwork needs doing, get a realistic price range, and see how the enquiry lands with the business before anyone has driven out to look at the wall.

Working example. "RedBrick Restoration" is a fictional business and the rates inside are illustrative. When we build yours, it carries your branding, your prices and your rules, and every quote is emailed to you as a lead.

Get a brickwork estimate in 60 seconds

Cement mortar suits most brick from the 1930s onwards. Older, softer period brick needs lime mortar to let the wall breathe properly, and lime pointing costs more and takes longer to cure.

Your estimate
£1,200 – £2,200

Prices include VAT. A firm price follows a quick look at the brickwork, in person or from photos.

Request a firm quotation & arrange a visit/call

Leave your details and RedBrick Restoration will confirm the price, usually the same day.

Instant quotes for your customers, at a glance

A price range before a ladder goes up

Homeowners pick the job, the wall or the wall area and see a realistic price straight away.

Every job priced on its own logic

Wall area, new-build metres, chimney stacks and individual bricks each carry a rate that fits how the job is actually priced.

Lime told apart from cement, honestly

Older, period brick that needs lime mortar is flagged and priced higher, not quietly folded into a standard cement rate.

Your rates per metre and per stack

Area rates, wall-height bands, chimney and per-brick prices, plus your access charges, are all yours to set and change.

Leads arrive with the wall already measured

Every enquiry lands in your inbox with the job, the area or metres and the estimate the customer saw.

Access agreed before anyone drives out

Ladder, tower or scaffold is chosen up front, so the price rarely moves once someone is stood at the wall.

How this estimate is put together

The demo prices brickwork the way most bricklayers first-pass a job over the phone: by what the wall actually needs, not one flat call-out figure. Repointing a wall runs on a rate per square metre, with a cement-mortar rate for typical post-1930s brick and a noticeably higher lime-mortar rate for older, softer period brick, since lime lets a wall breathe and takes real skill and time to point and cure properly. Building a new garden wall prices by the metre and by height, because a low single-skin border and a 1.8m wall needing an engineer-approved double-skin design are different jobs by any measure. A chimney stack is priced per stack for the pointing itself, and replacing a handful of damaged bricks carries a small-job base covering the first few, cutting out, matching and bedding each one in, with a per-brick rate on top for anything beyond that. Access is asked separately on the wall and chimney jobs, since a ladder, a tower and a full scaffold cost genuinely different amounts and a ground-level garden wall or a couple of bricks rarely need any of it. None of these numbers is special: when we build a calculator for a real bricklaying business, the rates, the bands, the questions and the rules are all yours, entered once and changed whenever you like.

Why an instant range wins bigger brickwork jobs

Repointing a house or building a garden wall is not an impulse booking, it is a considered spend that a homeowner researches for days or weeks before ever picking up the phone, often after a builder has mentioned damp or a mortgage survey has flagged the pointing. A calculator that gives an honest range immediately, split out by wall area, mortar and access, does the qualifying work a contact form cannot: it tells a homeowner comparing three quotes whether your business is even in their range before they waste your time on a site visit, and it tells you, from the lead itself, whether you are dealing with a straightforward cement repoint or a period property that needs lime and a scaffold. Being upfront that lime mortar costs more builds trust with exactly the customer who is likely to have done some reading already, and a firm quote that lands close to the number they saw on screen is what turns a researched enquiry into a booked job.
