Stairlift Quote Calculator
This is a live, working example of the instant-quote tools we build for stairlift installers. Try it exactly as a homeowner, or someone researching this for a parent, would: pick the staircase, weigh up new against reconditioned, and see how the enquiry lands with the business before anyone has been out to measure a step.

Launch pricing: the struck-through figures are our standard prices. Annual billing is the monthly cost with 20% off, paid 12 months at a time. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Bigger builds, with bookings, payments or CRM integrations, are priced on scope. Monthly plans roll month to month; stop whenever you like. Prices shown in pounds; we work in both GBP and USD.
Instant quotes for your customers, at a glance
A price in a minute, no visit needed first
Choosing new or reconditioned against a straight, curved or outdoor staircase gives a realistic range straight away.
Buy or rent, both priced honestly
Removal of the old lift and a weekly rental alternative each show as their own line, never buried in one number.
Reconditioned only offered where it is real
Curved and outdoor lifts are quoted as new because that is what most installers can actually supply, not a discount that quietly disappears on the day.
VAT relief flagged, never assumed
A single honest line explains the zero-rated VAT relief available to disabled customers, without the calculator ever guessing who qualifies.
Your ranges, your rental rates
New, reconditioned, removal and weekly rental figures are entered once by you and stay yours to change.
Leads arrive already considered
Every enquiry includes the staircase, the condition chosen and whether they are leaning toward buying or renting.

The demo prices a stairlift from the shape of the staircase first, since that decides the fitting job: a straight run takes an off-the-shelf rail, a curved staircase or one with landings needs a rail bent to that exact stairs, and outdoor steps need a weatherproofed unit. New against reconditioned is a straightforward swap on the same line, except for curved and outdoor lifts, where reconditioned is dropped from the choice rather than offered and then never actually available, since custom-bent rails and weatherproofed units are rarely reclaimed for reuse. Removing an old lift and a weekly rental alternative are both priced as their own line rather than folded into one figure, because buying and renting are genuinely different decisions, and a family weighing up a lift for a parent is often comparing both at once. None of these numbers is special: when we build a calculator for a real stairlift business, the rates, the ranges, the questions and the rules are all theirs, entered once and changed whenever they like.
The point is not the arithmetic, which is deliberately simple. It is that the homeowner gets an honest range and an honest answer on VAT relief in under a minute, without having to ring round several firms just to be told "it depends", and the installer gets a lead that already contains the staircase, the condition and whether buying or renting is the more likely fit. The conversation that follows starts from "when can someone come and measure" rather than "how much roughly".
Why an instant price earns trust on a big decision
A stairlift is rarely an impulse purchase, and it is very often not being bought for the person filling in the form: an adult child is usually researching this quietly, on behalf of a parent, comparing a few firms over several days before anyone visits the house. That buyer's first question is nearly always the price, and firms that make them ask for it feel evasive at exactly the wrong moment. An instant, honest range, shown alongside a plain explanation of when VAT relief applies and when renting might suit better than buying, answers that question without any pressure to commit, and lets the family take their time on a decision that deserves it. By the time they call, they already trust the numbers, which is a far easier conversation for the installer than a cold enquiry chasing a price nobody would give them.
